Sliven to Host National Conference on Sport and PE

The 7th annual National Conference on Physical Education and Sport at School will this year be held in Sliven region it has been announced.

The National Conference on Physical Education and Sport at School will run between the 1st and 4th of April this year and it is expected that over 300 delegates from across the country will attend the conference.

The conference will include lectures and workouts by teachers from specialist sports schools across Bulgaria so others can learn and implement what has been learnt in the educational facilities they work at.

The idea behind the conference is to promote and build awareness about sports and physical education as well as improving the knowledge of teachers so they can pass this knowledge on to their students.

Biserka Vassileva, who is the head of the Regional Inspectorate on Education in Sliven has said of the move: "I think that we will put a lot of interesting questions related to the health of children, using physical education and sport at school,"
