It has been reported that Ryanair will soon start flights from Plovdiv airport to Barcelona. Although the Irish based airline has not confirmed the new flight destination there is a belief that the new flights will start in March 2011 and will fly twice a week.The Director of Plovdiv airport has confirmed that the new flight service will take place but cut short of advising which carrier is to carry out these flights.
As the low cost carrier, Ryanair started flights into Bulgaria only a few short months ago this could be a new addition to the airlines flight routes further consolidating it's position in Bulgaria.
