With Christmas time comes the annual increase of driving accidents across Bulgaria because of the colder weather and more people travelling to spend time with loved ones.
In the past 24 hours alone there has been many road traffic accidents causing one death and 7 injuries requiring hospital visits. In Sofia alone there has been 32 road traffic accidents, of which 2 were seen as major accidents and the rest minor. The accidents in Sofia caused three people to suffer minor injuries.
The interior ministry is releasing this information in the hopes that it will make manby sit up and take notice over the festive season so the number of traffic accidents may reduce through more care taken whilst driving.
