The number of cars burnt out across Bulgaria has been rising throughout the past month, in fact these unusual arson events will hit the 60 mark by the end of today according to statistics. This number is highly unusual for Bulgaria and is making the Police take alot of notice as they try to find the culprits involved in all these car arson events.
Overnight last night another four cars were torched in the Varna region of Bulgaria with 2 burnt out in Nova Zagora and another two torched close to Aksakovo. To add to these four it was also confirmed that two cars were set alight and burnt out on the "Tsar Ivan Asen II"street in Sliven overnight, the Police have confirmed that this was carried out by one individual but they have not captured the culprit.
The authorities have confirmed that several different groups have been behind the recent spate of car arson events, some with different motives and some simply in copycat crimes. Although many people have been arrested for different car arson events across Bulgaria, the lack of evidence against them means most, if not all have been released from Police custody.
