Reports are showing that today many cities in north Bulgaria will suffer at the hands of thunderstorms and lightening, with heavy rain too.
Many places will see rain showers but areas in northern and north eastern Bulgaria will see heavy thunderstorms and lightening, this move has meant that a code yellow alert has been issued across the following counties: Lovech, Gabrovo, Razgrad, Rousse, Shumen, Silistra, Sliven,Targovishte, Veliko Turnovo and Yambol.
The average temperatures expected across the country will sit between eighteen and twenty three degrees Celsius, perfect temperatures for a warm thunderstorm.
The code yellow issued is one code above that of green, green being the normal state when weather is mild. Yellow means danger of severe weather but there is an orange and red alert for worse weather phenomenon.
