Japanese Tourist Numbers Increase

According to new figures from the Director of the Institute of Analysis and Assessment, there has been a huge increase in tourist numbers coming from Japan. These numbers also coincide with an increase in tourist numbers to Europe as a whole from Japan.

The Director said that this increase has coincided with the Tsunami that swept across the eastern side of Japan including Tokyo, this is because many are wishing to have a vacation away from the issues Japan is currently facing.

The average stay in Bulgaria for Japanese tourists is 6 to 7 days, this is broken down as 1.8 days stay in Sofia and 4.7 days at other destinations in Bulgaria.

Overall the increase in Japanese tourists in Bulgaria equates to a massive sixty percent increase.
