Over the Christmas weekend the police have been extremely busy, especially in the towns of Stara Zagora and Pazardzhik where two drug busts happened. In total five men were arrested over the weekend in connection with trafficking drugs to Spain.The first drug bust happened on the 23rd December in Pazardzhik, where two men were arrested. Of the two men one was a 44 year old truck driver who was preparing to drive to Spain with half a kilogram of Heroin on board his truck.
The second drug bust occured in Stara Zagora where three men aged between eighteen and thirty five were arrested on Christmas day at varying locations across Stara Zagora, all men had evidence of their crimes confiscated from their homes at the time of arrest. One of the men arrested was a 35 year old who supplied the Heroin to the Pazardzhik truck driver.
It is believed they were able to traffic the drugs by storing them in on trucks where there is a space for installing satellite devices.
